    • Family with children

We had a very good night's sleep...beds were comfortable and the location was great.

The place could definitely use some updating but is still good value for the money.

    • Family with children

The only thing I liked about this hotel was that it was located on the beach.

The room that I viewed on the website looked nothing like the room I got.

    • Couple

The location, balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean

    • Older travelers

Nothing comes to mind except that I didn't stay longer than 2 nights.

The hotel is just old and dated. The room didn't give me a clean feeling, but a dirty one. The bathroom towels and linen are a joke! I felt as dirty drying off after a shower as I did before I showered. The hotel pool towels, what are they? Apart of the comedy experience? Just through them in the garbage. I wouldn't even use them to dry a dog.

    • Family with children

-The roaches in the kitchen (sarcasm)

-Bathroom door didn't lock, balcony door didn't open, balcony also had a leak for the people on top of us, front door needed a bulldozer to open it, carpet was very greasy and unclean, extremely old kitchen, no closet door for closet, lamp was falling off the wall, extremely loud ac, swimming pool has cracks all around the edges, furniture is defected because it is very old, the towels had holes in them. The refrigerator was rusty. Overall it was the worst place we have ever been to!

    • Group of friends

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. And some staff members were very helpful.

I have no idea how this hotel is rated as a 3 star! It is an old worn out hotel that desparately needs to be updated. Our door to the unit had been broken before, and not repaired correctly with pieces of it still missing. Many many repairs were needed to our unit, such as:Paint peeling off walls, broken tiles, frig that didnt work, etc. Some of the other annoyances consisted of lack of parking spaces (although you paid daily for the spaces), no baggage carts to be found, and very slow elevators. I would strongly suggest not to stay at this hotel until renovations are done.

My grandparent always took my sister & I to the LaPlaya in Daytona Beach growing up and it was always a fun experience. I have many memories of the LaPlaya however my last 3 trips since 2005 since my grandpa passed away have not been what I expected. I love this hotel b/c it holds a great deal of memories, it's across from Publix and w/ kids that's always nice. It's not right in the middle of the party crowd but still not far from where everything is at.

I didn't like the broken doors; the door to outside and the balcony appeared to have been kicked in. There were bugs behind the door in the bathroom. Water went from really hot to really cold and my girls (2yrs and 5yrs) were not happy with that at all! Towels felt like sandpaper.

Pool side Tiki Bar and music

The rooms are really run down. The hotel needs remodeling. The check in process was horrendous. They did not check anyone in before 4:00pm even though they said they would call when your room was available. I stood in line for 1 hour (at 4:00pm) just to get a key. I was so aggravated that they did not stager checking in the guest by calling when a room was a cleaned.

    • Group of friends

The location was great, the pool was rearly very very nice and the tiki bar great, being right on the beach was best of all

      It was close to everything

    • Family with children

      excellent ocean view efficiency

      needs maintenance

    • Older travelers

I did not like this hotel. The carpet was filthy and wet stained. The bathroom was rusty and stained. their towels were like from a dollar store quality. We asked for a King size bed and got two queens. We stayed one nite and left. A cop friend of ours in Ormond Beach said to watch ourselves which tells me its an unsafe environment.

    • Family with children

The ocean view and being able to go out on the balcony.

The bed's suck and the tub did not drain the TV button was broken the carpet was dirty the sink leaked water on the floor the list keeps going.

    • Family with children

I like that it was a great price and friendly.

That it wasnt a family friendly hotel to many young people partying. Dont get me wrong I like to party but not with my kids.

    • Family with children

The best asset to me was your staff was very polite and courtious and the view was amazing.

The indoor pool facility condition was poor, the indoor jaccuzi was luke warm, the hotel was very dated, the grounds where poorly kept, bathroom drop ceiling was ulgy and rusted, shower nozzle was old and allowed little pressure, Bed were extemely worn and paint and overall maintenance was not kept. I would only recommend this hotel if someone were on a budget and couldn't afford to stay at a higher end hotel. There are ways to keep a place up to date while remaining affordable. Don't take away quality for affordability. Even in the lobby there were marks on the wall. The room doors appeared as though I were staying in the hood.
